Cruising our beautiful country we came accross a soon-to-be torn down chemical plant. Oh, the smell! We bet people used to do experiments with all kinds of chemicals. Our lights could tell - they experienced a lot.
This beautiful piece is originated from the 70's DDR era and it was found
hanging in one of Europe's largest chemical plant that has been abandoned for decades. When we found them they were hanging hopelessly on the ceiling probably suffering for decades of abandonment.
These fixtures are the smaller version of the iconic EOW lights. It has been cleaned and professionally restored to it's current high standard.
These fixtures were manufactured by the former East Germany company
EOW (Elektroinstallation Oberweimar) and were used in laboratories chemical- and industrial plants especially in areas of danger of explosion.
This extraorinary lamp comprises two 5mm thick glass tube and cast aluminium ends and can be hanged from the ceiling.
It is designed to be explosion- splash- and dustproof. Comes rewired and with two brand new LED tubes fitted.
