Hungary's one of the biggest coal mining organization also used these kind of fixtures, and it is not rare to find these in the old, abandoned mining buildings.
Due to it’s highly safe construction, these fixtures were used in dangerous areas. No wonder we came across with them in a Hungarian coal plant. In this very plant people used to mine coal from the middle of the 18th century.
Not only these lamps experienced a lot, they are massive and stunning. They have a one centimeter thick glass, two fluorescent tubes and two aluminium caps on the end. They can be fitted on the wall, or hanged down from the ceiling – either way, they are an excellent spot.
